Double Pulse Stimulation Test on Abductor Digiti Quinti and Flexor Carpi Ulnaris Muscle in Normal persons

Abstract

|
Author had peroformed double pulse stimulation test on the abductor digiti quinti and flexor carpi ulnaris muscles using Erik Stalberg's double pulse stimulation method in 44 healthy, normal persons with no symptoms, signs, and past history of
neurologic disease, who showed no specific abnormalities in the physical and neurological examination.

@EN 1) The normal limit of amplitude of stimulation 2/amplitude of stimulation 1 ratio on each time interval35msec, 50msec,100msec, 150msec, 250msec, 30msec,350msec,400msec, 480msec in flexor carpi ulnaris muscle were 1.02, 1.02, 1.03, 1.01,
1.00,
0.99,
1.00, 0.99, 0.98 respectively.
2) The normal limit of amplitude of stimulation 2 /amplitude of stimulation 1 ratio on each time interval 35msec, 50msec, 100msec,150msec, 250msec, 300msec, 350msec, 400msec, 400msec, 480msec in abductor digiti quinti muscle were 1.04, 1.04,
1.05,1.02,
0.01, 1.00, 1.00, 0.99 respectively.
3) There was no significant statistical difference between abductor digiti quinti ratio and flexor carpi ulnaris ratio(p<0.01).
